The Geneva accords

The Geneva accords :

For this agreement, Yossi Beilin, former Israeli Minister and Abed Rabbo, former Minister of Information to the Palestinian Authority, together with several professionals have worked for more than a year. Its objective is to promote a permanent peace agreement that will end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Palestinian people will renounce of their Right of return. Some of the refugees will remain in their present country of residence, some others will be absorbed by the Palestinian Authority or by third-party countries, and some of them will receive compensation. A limited amount of refugees will be authorised to move in Israel but not as the recognition of a right of return.

The Palestinian people will recognize Israel as the State of the Jewish people.

Israel will withdraw on the borders of 1967, apart from certain territories that will be exchanged and will be described here below.

Jerusalem will be divided and the Arab neighbourhoods of Jerusalem will be part of the Palestinian State. The Jewish neighbourhoods and their trans-Jordanian suburbs of Givat Zeev and Maale Adoumim, as well as the historical block of of Etzion (without Efrat) will be part of the State of Israel.

The temple mount will become Palestinian, full access will be guaranteed to all by an international force. Neither Jewish prayers nor archeological searches will be authorised on the Temple Mount. The western wall will remain under Israeli sovereignty. The Sacred basin that comprises the Jewish Cemetery and the Olive Mount, David City and Kivron valley will be under international supervision.

The settlements of Ariel, Efrat and Har Homa will be part of the State of Palestine. Moreover, Israel will transfer some parts of the Neguev adjacent to the Gaza strip, not including Halutza, in exchange of the part of the West Bank it will receive.

The Palestinians will be bound to fight terrorism and stop the incitement for hatred and disarm completely. Their State will be demilitarized and the passage borders will be supervised by a non Israeli International force.

This agreement will come into place and will complete the un resolutions and former agreements.
