After "A Moment for Peace", it has become clear that today's gap between Europe and the Middle East is mainly due to lack of information and lack of dialogue.
Moreover, Members of the "A Moment for Peace" delegation have expressed the desire to continue the work and get stronger involved.

Med Bridge has today strong credibility. The organisation has shown its capacity to act concretely and efficiently. MedBridge serves today as a platform for European leaders to get information on the Middle East and communicate with the political and civil society of the Middle East.


Conference : "Europe - Middle East, From a difficult Dialogue towards a Better Future"
21st and 22nd September in Paris

This conference was organised at the Assemblee Nationale in cooperation with the Strategic Dialogue Center of the Netanya Academic College that is chaired by Mikhail Gorbachev, former President of the USSR, Ehud Barak, former Prime Minister of Israel and Prince Hassan Bin Tallal of Jordan.

The aim was to identify the misconceptions and misunderstandings as w ell as the convergences and similarities between Europe and the Middle East in order to move towards a future of understanding and dialogue.

Conference speakers included: Ehud Barak, former Prime Minister of Israel, Ana Palacio, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Edith Cresson, former Prime Minister of France, Ziyad Abu Zayyad, now Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Jean Francois Cope, Minister Delegate for the Interior Ministry, French Government Spokesman and intellectuals such as Alexandre Adler and Yirmiyahu Yovel.

More than 300 participants from all over Europe in diplomatic and parliamentary positions attended the conference.
