Willing to encourage the growing interest in France for Israeli and Palestinian literature as well as to establish long and durable links between Israeli, Palestinian, and French societies, MedBridge brought for the first time a delegation of French writers to Israel and the Palestinian Territories. The trip took place at an extremely critical moment for the region, when hopes for peace seemed to fade.
The delegation led by Simone Rodan, Secretary General of MedBridge, was composed of eight writers, among whom were Karine Tuil, at the origin of the initiative, Florian Zeller and Michele Fitoussi. They met several personalities such as Israeli writers A.B. Yehoshua and David Grossman.
